If you are getting the message "Open has not been successful", something is preventing PerfectIt from writing to the drive. If restarting Word doesn't work, there are two possible causes for that:
- The appdata folder set to read only.
- Security software preventing it.
To resolve that:
1. PerfectIt needs to write to the equivalent of this folder:
C:\Users\[Your user name]\AppData\Local\PerfectIt3
So please make sure that the appdata\local folder is not set to read only. Open Windows Explorer, then navigate to that folder. Then right-click on it and choose "Properties". Make sure "Read Only" is set to off.
2. Try turning off any security or anti-virus software that you are running.
